Sylvie Marc-Charles has designed for several plays including Vital Children's theatre productions, and New York Deaf Theatre, Inc., "Unleashed Poe" and 3Grace Theatre, "Flyer". Sylvie is currently a freelance professional costume designer at Gallaudet University for theatre productions and worked recently on their production, "AGAMENNON". This fall, she will be working for them again on a play, "FENCES" by August Wilson to work under the direction of Ethan Sinnott for Gallaudet Theatre.

Sylvie obtained most of her training as a designer from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New york City, where she graduated with a degree in Fashion Design in 2004. Currently, she is a graduate student at Gallaudet University studying social work. She is honored to have this opportunity to collaborate again with Ann Marie Bryan for her MICA Fashion Show. Her personal motto is, " Let nothing stop you from achieving your dreams, not deafness or a disability. Live Life!"
