DESIGNERS SUBMISSION DEADLINE MAY 5, 2008

MICA Runway is seeking new emerging talented fashion designers for our 2008 show. Any designers who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or hearing are encouraged to apply.

We have a new addition to our event -Teen MICA for models age 16-20. We will feature separate events for Teen MICA and adult fashion shows.

Our fashion events show accepts up to eight - ten designers on the runway, and up to 4 accessories designers in standing installations for each.

This year, we are including style design in the competition for the best collection and style presentation on the runway by designers.

Only one designer will walk away with the grand prize.

We are interested in categories: Eveningwear, Sportswear, Ready To Wear, Avant-Garde, Menswear, and Accessories. Students are welcome to apply.

All designers are required to submit a brief bio, recent picture, slide or lookbook or portfolio and theme of their recent collection. Each collection presentation on the runway should be no more than 5 minutes for each shows.

Designers’ collection should be available at least 6 weeks in advance for models fitting, photo shooting and dress rehearsals.
